Medicare Planning
People often ask the difference between Medicare and Medicaid. Medicare is an insurance program. It serves people over 65 primarily, whatever their income; and serves younger disabled people. Medicare is a federal program. It is basically the same everywhere in the United States.
Medicaid Planning
Medicaid is an assistance program. Medical bills are paid from federal, state and local tax funds. It serves low-income people of every age. It varies from state to state. It is run by state and local governments within federal guidelines. Without proper planning, you may not qualify for Medicaid.
Guardianship
We can help you get appointed and help you fulfill your responsibility as a guardian and/or conservator. A guardianship is the appointment by the court of an individual to provide care and to make personal decisions for a minor or incapacitated person.
Conservatorship
A conservatorship is a court proceeding to appoint an individual to manage the financial affairs of a minor or incapacitated person who can no longer manage his or her own property or financial matters. Generally, the conservator does not make the decisions regarding the personal care of the individual as a guardian does.
