Thomas J. Hanacek is a native Oregonian who grew up in the Portland metro area. He attended Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho while playing golf. While attending college, he was selected co-captain of the golf team and earned his B.A. in Political Science and minored in business administration. After graduating college, he continued his education in pre-law courses at Portland State University while working as a legal intern for a law firm in Portland. Upon completing his coursework and internship, he decided to attend the University of Mississippi School of Law in the town of Oxford, MS where he received his Juris Doctorate.
Before joining Bittner and Hahs, Thomas was an associate at Elliott, Riquelme & Wilson, LP in Bend, where his practice focused primarily on civil litigation, construction law and transactional work.
Thomas lives with his family in Wilsonville. Outside of practicing law and spending time with his family, Thomas enjoys playing competitive golf and staying sharp on the course, believing his best round is still ahead of him. He also enjoys hiking, fishing, traveling and other outdoor activities.
